Karachi  Provincial Adviser to Sindh Chief Minister for Livestock and Fisheries Syed Najmi Alam said that livestock sector breeding, we have to make a program for the next 20 years so that we can increase the production of milk and meat and earn foreign exchange as well as stand this sector on its own feet. He expressed these views in a high-level meeting regarding Livestock Breeding Improvement Plan in his office on Monday. He said that we will prepare our complete plan and after that we will try to request the Sindh government especially the Chief Minister of Sindh regarding the requirements of funds under this plan. He said that we will also take suggestions from the owners of private farms and cattle breeders of Sindh. He said that we will do our best to get the best breed of domestic animals and the health of the animals kept in government farms to support the national economy by earning a lot of money in the milk and meat sector. Syed Najmi Alam said that we will also hold a meeting with the municipal mayors of Karachi and Hyderabad to help them enact legislation to eliminate illegal slaughterhouses and save newborn calves and offspring. Najmi Alam said that we want to make such policies that our future generations can benefit in these sectors and the farmers of Sindh, including the poor cattle owners of Sindh who are exporters of animals, can also get help in this sector. DG Livestock Sindh Dr. Hizbullah Bhutto, Director Planning Dr. Akhtar Shahani, Director Animal Breeding Sindh Dr. Naubat Khan Khoso and Registrar of Livestock Registration Authority Dr. Abdullah Sithar participated on this occasion.
