“Empowering Women and Girls in Peshawar: Capacity Building Session and Career Counseling

Peshawar, Ms. Mashal Mushtaq and Ms. Carol Malaika, Women Peace Architects from Peshawar, conducted a capacity building session titled “Ending Violence against Women” and a career counseling session for young girls to join law enforcement institutions. The session was held at the Fort Continental Hotel Peshawar.

Mr. Rizwan, Provincial Coordinator of the National Human Rights Commission, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Ms. Naheed, Assistant Director of Social Welfare, and Mr. Dr. Ateeq Ur Rehman, a social activist, were also invited as guests.

The session was facilitated by Trainer Ayesha Khan, Program Officer of the Aurat Foundation’s Jazba Project. Participants from diverse cultural, religious, and social backgrounds engaged in productive discussions, group activities, and presentations.

The session aimed to empower women and girls to become agents of change in their communities, promoting gender equality, and ending violence against women. The career counseling session encouraged young girls to pursue careers in law enforcement, promoting gender diversity and inclusion in the sector.

The event was a significant step towards creating a more inclusive and equitable society, where women and girls can thrive and reach their full potential.”
