The delegation included GPE Chief Financial Officer Mr. Padraig Power and Country Team Leader Hoa Tran Ringrose. Secretary School Education Sindh Sheerin Mustafa Narijo, Secretary College Education Sindh Sadaf Anis Sheikh, and Additional Director Dr. Fauzia Khan also participated in the event.
The delegation briefed Sindh Education Minister Raana Hussain on various programs of the Global Partnership for Education.
Education Minister Raana Hussain emphasized the need to collaborate with partners working in the field of education to prioritize improvements in primary education standards, post-primary education, education for girls returning to schools schools, and teacher professional development. She stated that working together in various sectors takes time to yield tangible results, and essential steps can be taken in collaboration with partners based on priorities.
During the meeting, the delegation expressed confidence in enhancing their collaborative efforts based on the priorities of enhancing education in Sindh. The meeting also discussed cooperation in the rehabilitation of flood-affected schools.
