More than normal rainfall is expected in the monsoon season this year

The authorities have issued a cautionary warning to the nearby populations in view of flooding in the rivers, streams and canals.

How will the monsoon be this year? In which areas will the clouds rain more? Which places are expected to flood? Will temperatures remain above normal during monsoons?

National Disaster Management Authority officials say that monsoon rains are expected to be more than normal. There is a possibility of flood situation in different parts of the country during July to September. There is a risk of flooding in the country’s rivers and streams due to the possible severity of drought.

Areas most affected by possible flood rails have also been identified, GIS team lead Zahra Hasan says flash flooding events may occur in GB and Azad Kamsher.

It will overflow in Kabul River, Indus River and Swat River in K. Sutlej Ravi and Sindh are likely to experience high level of flooding.
