PFUJ condole the demise of Social activist Karamat Ali

 Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Karamat Ali, a renowned labour and development activist, and a champion of peace and democracy. For four decades. In a joint statement PFUJ President Afzal Butt and Secretary General Arshad Ansari said Karamat Ali dedicated his life to fighting for the rights of workers, promoting peace, and strengthening regional and global solidarity.

They said as a founding member of the Pakistan Institute of Labour Education & Research, Pakistan Peace Coalition, Pakistan-India People’s Forum for Peace and Democracy, and South Asia Labour Forum, Karamat Ali leaves behind “a legacy of tireless struggle and unwavering commitment to social justice”.

His contributions to the labour and peace movements in Pakistan have been invaluable, and his efforts to connect these movements with regional and global counterparts have inspired countless individuals and organizations. The statement says.

The PFUJ leadership pays tribute to Karamat Ali’s remarkable life and work, and extends its deepest condolences to his family, friends, and comrades. His passing is a great loss, but his legacy will continue to inspire and motivate us to strive for a more just and peaceful world.”
