NasirShah directes Energy Dept to speed up steps to supply solar panel in August this month
Karachi (August 6): Provincial Energy Minister Syed Nasirsin Shah presides over meeting on free solar supply project with senior officials of the Energy Department and NGOs on the direction of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto. Secretary Energy Mossadegh Ahmed Khan, CEO (SPHF) Khalid Sheikh, Director Sindh Solar Energy Project Mahfouz Qazi and heads of various NGOs participated. In the meeting, a detailed discussion was held on the supply of solar panels with the support of the World Bank. Nasir Shah said that the supply of solar panels will be started in this month of August and he also directed to speed up the steps to supply the solar panels in this month of August. He added that on the direction of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto, the transparency of the project should be ensured, soon we will start the process of distributing solar panels in each division and district. He said that people will benefit from alternative sources of energy across Sindh, work is going on on various projects to provide free electricity to the people. Nasir Shah said that the Sindh government wants to provide relief to the people by providing cheap electricity, the solarization process is a means of providing affordable electricity to the people. He said that the expensive electricity has gone beyond the purchasing power of the people and the people of the entire province are suffering due to the expensive electricity.
