Thatta: (H.O.): Sindh Minister for Universities and Board Muhammad Ali Malkani has said that technical education is the greatest education in the world, the beneficiaries of which can not only stand on their own feet by getting employment in their region and country, but there is also a dire need for such people in the whole world.
The purpose of establishing this institution by the People’s Party government is to provide employment to the educated youth, he added.
This he expressed while addressing a function organized on the occasion of his visit at Government Polytechnic Institute Thatta at Makli.
Mr. Malkani said the world has come a long way, we should study such technology which is needed in the world, Polytechnic Institute Makli is a very big and excellent institute which should have an enrollment of at least 400 students.
He directed the authorities concerned to take necessary steps to improve the performance of the institution and ensure maximum enrollment of students so that the youth can stand on their own feet through employment.
The entire leadership of the People’s Party, including President Asif Ali Zardari, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, is trying to ensure the service of the people of Sindh in every way, he added.
He said that efforts are ongoing for the improvement of all technical institutes of Sindh including Thatta.
Earlier, Provincial Minister Muhammad Ali Malkani inspected the various departments and classrooms of the Polytechnic Institute while also inaugurating the afforestation by planting saplings in the premises of the institution.
Chairman TTP (STEWTA) Muzaffar Bhutto, Additional Director Monitoring (STEWTA) Javed Sheikh, Regional Director (STEWTA) Manzoor Chandio, Principal Waseem Qadir Memon, Vice Principal Abdul Aziz Memon, professors, teachers and students were also present on this occasion.
Later, Sindh Minister for Universities and Boards Muhammad Ali Malkani reached (ZEBST) Zebtech (ITVE) Gharo and took special part in the ceremony of distributing toolkits and certificates among the students.
On this occasion, the Sindh Minister while addressing the ceremony said that the mindset of technical vocational is being formed in Sindh, we should work like Zebest in every technical institution.
Appreciating the efforts of Madam Farida Faisal for the excellent performance in ZEBST, he said that Madam has done a lot of work in ZEBST which is commendable.
He said that this institution is named after Quaid Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and the foundation of this institution was laid by Shaheed Benazir Bhutto while the establishment of the institution was also his dream which was interpreted by Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, President Asif Ali Zardari, Chairman ZEBST Bakhtawar Bhutto, Asifa Bhutto and Provincial Health Minister Azra Pechuho’s hard work and efforts.
As the top leadership of the People’s Party is working hard for the improvement of this institution, it is hoped that it will prove to be the largest institution in Pakistan and the students who will benefit from it will make the name of their country and nation bright in the world.
Later, the provincial minister distributed toolkits and certificates among the students. Earlier, the provincial minister inspected various departments of the technical institute and expressed his satisfaction.
