The National Institute of Management (NIM) Karachi has successfully concluded its 40th Mid-Career Management Course, awarding certificates to 28 officers who completed the training. The ceremony honored officers from the Pakistan Administrative Service, Police, Customs, Office Management Group, Election Commission, Airport Security Forces, Defense Production, and Information Group.

The event was graced by the Chief Secretary of Sindh, Syed Asif Hyder Shah, as the chief guest. In his address, Chief Secretary Syed Asif Hyder Shah expressed his pleasure in attending the ceremony. He emphasized the significant responsibilities that rest on the shoulders of the officers, highlighting the continued public trust in the bureaucracy. He urged the officers to live up to this trust.

Chief Secretary Shah acknowledged the challenging times ahead and stressed the importance of demonstrating their capabilities. He noted the issues like roads and sewage but encouraged collective efforts to resolve them. He assured that his office doors are always open to address people’s concerns and advised the officers never to break communication with the public, to meet them, and resolve their issues.

Reflecting on his tenure as Commissioner of Hyderabad, Shah shared how initiating the city’s development projects faced skepticism. However, once the efforts were directed correctly, the public support followed.

During the ceremony, the Director General of NIM Karachi, Dr. Lubna Ayub, reported that the 28 officers completed a 10-week Mid-Career Management Course, which is essential for their promotion from Grade 18 to Grade 19. The course provided modern training tailored to enhance their skills for their future roles.
