Karachi (August 19): Advisor to CM Sindh on Livestock and Fisheries Syed Najmi Alam presides over an important meeting of the Department of Livestock and Fisheries and met with the Director Generals of both departments in which advisor directed to take immediate care of cattle in rain affected areas. He added that vaccination programs to protect animals from various diseases on government farms including cattle owners should be started immediately and spraying should also be arranged to prevent diseases and eliminate mosquitoes. Syed Najmi Alam also directed his officers to immediately contact the Divisional Commissioners to get the complete data of the relief camps and move your staff there to take practical measures to protect the displaced families as well as their animals from various diseases. He said that I want immediate results, the secretary of the department including me should get performance report on daily basis otherwise action will be taken to remove the powers of DDO given to the Deputy Directors of all the districts. Najmi Alam said that I will visit the relief camps in every district of Sindh to check for myself the immediate relief provided by the department to the rain victims, we have to give relief to the people of Sindh in this rainy environment. In the meeting, Secretary Livestock and Fisheries Dr. Kazim Hussain Jatoi, Director General Livestock Sindh Dr. Hizbullah Bhutto, Director General Sindh Institute of Animal Health Dr. Nazir Hussain Kalhori, Director General Poultry Production Manwar Ali Rana, Director General Marine Fisheries Dr. Ali Muhammad. Mastoi, Director General Sindh Institute of Animal Health Dr. Nazir Hussain Kalhori also attended. On this occasion, General Fisheries Sindh Inland Zulfiqar Ali Larak, Director Fisheries Hatchery and Training Siraj Ahmed Solangi, Director Fisheries Inland Hyderabad Habibullah Narejo, Director Poultry Sindh Dr. Abdul Kabir Shaikh, Director Livestock Breeding Dr. Naubat Khan Khoso, Director (CV DL) Dr. Azam Khan Brohi and other officers attended.
