According to SSP Central Faisal Abdullah Chachar, Timuriya Police has recorded the statement of Maryam's father Saqib, an eyewitness to the incident.
Saqib was going to drop his daughter to school in the car, Maryam was sitting in the back seat of the car, suddenly the bullet hit her in the head.
The father told the police that the accused were seen fleeing after the shooting on the other side of the road.
There was probably an exchange of fire between unknown persons.
The police say that they are collecting the CCTV footages of the crime scene and nearby areas, bullet shells are also being searched, on the other hand, the family took the body of the girl from Abbasi Shaheed Hospital and left for home.
