 Karachi The Consul General of Türkiye Cemal Sangu accompanied with Regional Head TIKA Karachi Halil Ibrahim Basaran met with Provincial Minister of Culture, Tourism, Antiquities and Archives Sindh Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah in his office.   


 In the meeting, there was a detailed discussion on promoting bilateral culture and tourism.
 Speaking in the meeting, Turkish Consul General Cemal Sangu announced to establish phasewise cultural center in the libraries in Sindh. He said that the first cultural center will be established in Liaquat Memorial Library Karachi while the students under study will also be sent to Türkiye on scholarships by Türkiye government.


 On this occasion, Provincial Minister Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah expressed his gratitude to the Türkiye government for building cultural centers and scholarship programs for students. He said that it is necessary to make the people of both countries accessible to the multifaceted culture. The people will get benefit from the promotion of tourism and culture between the two countries, he added.


 He said Sindh's historical, religious and cultural tourism is the center of focus for the tourists around the world, so the joint initiatives for bilateral tourism is needed to strengthen the friendly relations between Türkiye and Pakistan.
 He said that Chairman Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari always said that Turkey is our important brother country, and he emphasized on the stable cultural, tourism, social, political and economic relations with the Republic of Türkiye is in the wider interest of both countries.



 Later, Provincial Minister Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah presented the Sindhi traditional Ajrak and replicas of antiquities discovered at Mohan Jo Daro to Turkish Consul General Jamal Sangu and Halil Ibrahim. 


 On the occasion, DG Libraries Ijaz Sheikh and MD Sindh Tourism Development Corporation Fayyaz Shah were also present in the meeting.
