Maheshwari Community Elections Conclude Peacefully, MSL Group Wins 20 Out of 21 Seats




Karachi The organizational elections of the Maheshwari community in Karachi were successfully and peacefully held on Sunday.


Voting took place at polling stations set up in 8 different areas for a total of 21 seats.


The MSL group secured a sweeping victory, winning 20 of the 21 seats, while the CML group managed to win just one.


A total of 41 candidates contested the elections, including 39 men and 2 women.


Two independent candidates also participated.


The electoral process was overseen by the C.M.M.P Election Commission, headed by Chief Election Commissioner Babu Kanji Manglia.

Other members included Prem Khiraj Thonthiya, Anil Kumar Somar Manglia, Dr. Ashok Roji Katwa, and Ms. Jyoti Shri Govind Ram Kaner.


Three main polling stations—Rand Hall, Sonara Hall, and Malmo School—were established for voting.


The election process remained peaceful and transparent from morning to evening, with active participation from women, the elderly, youth, and persons with disabilities.


Sindh Police and Rangers provided effective security arrangements, including three mobile vehicles and continuous patrolling by Rangers teams.



The community expressed gratitude to law enforcement agencies for their exemplary support.


The Election Commission indicated that the final list of winning candidates would be released soon, along with the announcement of the date for the oath-taking ceremony.
