Karachi: Cutchhi Maheshwari Community Holds Shardanjali for Lyari Tragedy Victims

Karachi  Today, the Cutchi Maheshwari community gathered at the Shri Swaminarayan Temple Ground in Karachi to hold a peaceful and heartfelt tribute ceremony in memory of 20 members of their community who tragically lost their lives in the Lyari building collapse. This event marked the twelfth day of mourning and was attended by thousands of people.


Families of the victims, religious scholars, Matang Brahmans, Dharam Gurus, and leaders from various Hindu Panchayats, along with respected community guests, participated in the solemn occasion. Candles were lit, bhajans were sung, and prashad was distributed, creating an atmosphere filled with spiritual solace and unity.


Dr. Lal Chand Ukrani, President of the PPP Minority Wing Sindh and Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Sindh on Minority Affairs, expressed deep sympathy for the affected families and said:


 “The Government of Sindh stands shoulder to shoulder with the grieving families and will continue to provide every possible support. These beloved souls will always remain in our prayers.

Mr. Lakshman Mooraj Bagra, President of the Panchayat, conveyed his heartfelt condolences:

 “We mourn the loss of our 20 dear ones deeply. The Panchayat stands firmly with the affected families and will continue to offer its support.”

At the conclusion of the ceremony, all attendees joined together in collective prayers for peace and eternal rest for the departed souls.

This ceremony was a true reflection of the Cutchi Maheshwari community’s collective compassion, spiritual strength, and unity.
