Karachi: The Centre for Excellence in Journalism (CEJ) at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi, has appointed renowned journalist Shahzeb Jillani as its new Director. He takes over from Amber Rahim Shamsi, who has moved on to a new media venture.
Shahzeb Jillani is widely recognized as one of Pakistan’s most experienced and internationally respected journalists. He has held senior editorial and managerial positions at prestigious global media organizations including the BBC and DW News. Jillani is currently a co-host and trainer for a current affairs show on Dawn News, and is also actively involved in a program focused on social change.
CEJ, established in collaboration with the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ), is dedicated to improving the standards of journalism in Pakistan by providing professional training, development, and networking opportunities for journalists and media professionals. Jillani’s appointment is being seen as an inspiring step for young journalists and a valuable addition to the center’s mission and leadership.
