🚨 Sindh Dengue Cases Continue: 1,130 New Infections, 1 Death in 24 Hours

Karachi The Sindh Health Department has released the latest report on confirmed dengue cases across the province, stating that a total of 5,511 dengue tests were conducted during the past 24 hours, of which 1,130 returned positive.
According to the report, 3,937 tests were carried out in Karachi Division, confirming 527 positive cases. In Hyderabad Division, 1,574 tests were conducted, out of which 603 were declared positive.
Secretary Health Rehan Baloch said that during the last 24 hours, 129 new dengue patients were admitted to government hospitals while 126 new cases were reported from private hospitals. Meanwhile, 96 patients were discharged from government hospitals after recovery, whereas 111 recovered from private health facilities and returned home.
One dengue-related death has been reported from across the province in the past 24 hours.
The report further said that the number of dengue patients currently admitted in government hospitals stands at 251, while 264 patients are under treatment in private healthcare facilities.
In Karachi, 256 beds have been allocated for dengue patients in government hospitals, 165 in Hyderabad, and 558 in other districts of Sindh — making a total of 979 beds reserved across the province. In private hospitals, 185 beds have been allocated for dengue patients in Karachi, 208 in Hyderabad, and 66 in other districts — bringing the total to 459 beds.
The department added that data is being received from 54 laboratories engaged in dengue testing across the province. In Karachi, 37 laboratories — including 12 public and 25 private — are currently providing dengue testing services, while 17 laboratories in Hyderabad Division — 7 public and 10 private — are operational for dengue testing.
