SMIU is organizing five international and one national conference today under the banner of the 3rd Global Research Congress

Karachi: 

Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU) is organizing five international conferences and one national conference on multiple subjects. Among these, the Faculty of Language and Culture Studies is organizing the 3rd International Conference on “Reimagining Applied Linguistics and Language Practices” with the theme of “Emerging Trends in AI and Corpus Linguistics.” The keynote speakers are Dr. Benet Vincent of Coventry University, United Kingdom, and Professor Dr. Maria Isabel Maldonado Garcia of the Institute of Languages and Linguistics, University of Punjab. She will deliver her speech on the topic of “Pakistani English in the Digital Era: An Updated Review of Its Linguistic Features.”

The Faculty of Social Sciences is organizing the 3rd International Conference on Media and Social Development under the theme of “Media for a Sustainable Society: Communicating Climate Change and the SDGs in the Age of Artificial Intelligence.” The keynote speakers of the conference are Dr. Muhammad Ismail Kumbhar, Professor, Agricultural Education Extension & Short Courses at Sindh Agriculture University, Tandojam, Sindh (his speech title is “Role of Media in Climate Change, Environmental Justice, and Disaster Risk Management”), Dr. Donna Halper, Professor of Media & Communication Studies, Lesley University, Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA; and Dr. Mohammad Sobhi Ishak, Professor at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Expert in Digital Sociology, Mass & New Media, Social Measurements & Modelling, Media, Culture, and Society. 

The Faculty of Management, Business Administration, and Commerce is holding its 4th International Conference on “Sustainable Intelligence: Redefining Business Value in the Age of AI and Climate Responsibility.”  The keynote speakers are Prof. Edwina Pio, Emeritus Professor & Former Director of Diversity, Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand; Associate Professorial Fellow, University of Oxford, UK; and Professor Mustafa Ozbilgin, Associate Dean (Equity & Inclusion), Brunel University of London. Prof. Dr. Mohsin Ali Soomro of the Hubei Engineering University, China, and Prof. Dr. Jawad Syed, Professor, SDSB–LUMS, Lahore. 

The Faculty of Science is organizing 3rd International Conference on Green and Sustainable Environment. Prof. Dr. Masood Parvez, Department of Chemistry, University of Calgary, Canada, Dr. Zyta M. Ziora, Senior Research Officer, Institute for Molecular Bioscience University of Queensland, Australia, Dr. Bushra Khan, Professor of Environmental Chemistry & Chairperson, University of Peshawar, Dr. Imran Hashmi, Tenured Professor, NUST and Prof. Dr. Sherif A. Younis are among the keynote speakers. 

Similarly, the Faculty of I.T. is organizing “1st International Conference on Advances in Artificial Intelligence and Computing”, with the theme of “Ethical Computing and AI for Social Good.” The keynote speakers of the conference are Dr. Ibrahim Hamzane, Cadi Ayyad University of Marrakech, Morocco, Prof. Dr. Bhawani Shankar Chowdhry (S.I.), Professor Emeritus, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Jamshoro (his speech title is “Human-Centric AI: Ethical Pathways for a Sustainable and Inclusive Digital Future”), Dr. Mohammad Reza Abolghassemi Dehaqani, University of Tehran, Iran ( his speech title is “The Brain–AI Loop: Learning from and Programming Neural Networks”), Dr. Paul McEvoy, Assistant Academic Director of Computing, Senior Academician and Researcher, Dublin Business School, Ireland (his speech title is “Integrating Artificial Intelligence into Educational Consciousness: Emerging Implications for Teaching, Learning, and Institutional Strategy”), Prof. Huaglory Tianfield, Professor, Glasgow Caledonian University, Glasgow, UK (his speech title is “AI in High Performance Computing”), Dr. Xiaobo Zhang Guangdong University of Technology, China and Dr. Asiya Khan, Associate Professor, University of Plymouth, United Kingdom.
