The Sindh Government, through the Sindh People's Housing For Flood Affectees (SPHF), implemented by Sindh Rural Support Organization (SRSO is taking steps to empower women in flood-affected areas by providing land titles for their constructed resilient houses.


In this connection, a ceremony held to hand over the land titles to the first 500 beneficiaries in district Khairpur, by the Sindh Rural Support Organization (SRSO).


The most senior politician and ex Chief Minister of Sindh, respected Syed Qaim Ali Shah was the chief guest of the ceremony.  The District Chairman, Nadir Shoukat Rajpar, Barrister Halar Khan Wassan, Deputy CommissionerDr. Sharjel Noor Channo, RGM-SRSO Dr. Ghulam Rasool Samejeo and Team leader-SRSO-SPHF Sikandir Ali Sanam were also among the guests and distributed the land titles to SPHF beneficiaries.


Addressing the event, Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that that floods2022 destroyed the infrastructure of Sindh and people displaced and lost their homes. In this difficult times, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari led in the challenge and committed to recover the lives of affected people, he said and added that the Housing is a great initiative of the Sindh Government under SPHF and SRSO, women have been protected legal rights of their houses as well. 

For this purpose, I appreciate the efforts of SRSO, district administration and other institutions, he said.


On this occasion, the women beneficiaries ‘of the resilient houses including Ms Zameera (UC Drib Mehar Shah), Shama Khatoon (village Lal Bux Tagar), and Mai Benazi (village Ras Hussain Bux) also shared their views and experiences. They all said that Sindh Government has fulfilled their promise with flood affectees for their construction homes to secure their lives from future calamities with complete legal rights.

This was the 5th ceremony of distribution of land titles among the SPHF beneficiaries which was organized successfully in SRSOs’ 5th covering district Khairpur.
