Karachi Caretaker Chief Minister Justice (retd) Maqbool Baqar has said that he has ordered an inquiry into the Sakrand incident and has called a report within four days.
This he said while talking to the media just after attending Rabiul Awal Jaloos at the new Memon Masjid on Friday.
He expressed his sorrow and grief over the incident of Sakrand.
He said he had held a meeting with Home Minister Brig (retd) Haris Nawaz and got details of the [Sakrand] incident.
“Such kind of incidents are painful and shouldn’t take place,” he said.
The CM said that he had ordered a three-member inquiry into the incident and ordered them to report within four days.
The inquiry committee would be headed by Commissioner Hyderabad Khalid Hyder Shah, DIG Shaheed Benazirabad, and DIG Special Branch.
Justice Baqar hoped that the protesters would call off their sit-in after the constitution of the inquiry committee.
It may be recalled that four villagers were killed in an operation carried out by law enforcement agencies in the village Mari Jalbani of Sakrand on Thursday.
Rabiul Awal: The interim CM said that Rabiul Awal was a great day and was celebrated with religious fervor and spirit.
He added that the security arrangements for the Rabiul Awal Jaloos have been beefed up.
Justice Baqar urged the people to offer prayers for the security and development of Pakistan on this day.
Condemns: Caretaker Chief Minister Justice (rtd) Maqbool Baqar strongly condemned the blast that took place in Mastung, near the Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH) procession.
He expressed his deep grief over the loss of lives and expressed condolence with the families of the victims.
The CM also strongly condemned the blast at Doaba Masjid, Hangu, killing two lives.
