CHIEF SECRETARY, SINDH ELECTION COMMISSIONER REVIEWS ARRANGEMENTS FOR 8 FEB POLL

Newly posted Sindh Election Commissioner Sharifullah, called on Chief Secretary
Sindh Dr. Muhammad Fakhre Alam here on Monday and discussing detailed
arrangements for the upcoming general elections.
During the meeting Chief Secretary Dr. Muhammad Fakhre
Alam informed the Provincial Election Commissioner that the Sindh government
has made all necessary preparations for holding fair and peaceful elections.
“Security
and transport plans and other necessary arrangements have been made for the
peaceful conduct of the elections” he added.
He
further stated that as per directives and requirement all facilities would be
provided to the Election Commission for holding transparent elections.
During the meeting, Provincial Election Commissioner
Sharifullah mentioned that the Election Commission has completed all necessary
preparations to conduct the general elections on February 8, 2024.
“The Election Commission is fully prepared for
conducting free, fair, and impartial elections” he added.
He added
that as per directives of ECP CCTV cameras would be installed at polling
stations to ensure transparency.
The Provincial Election Commissioner further
expressed that the Election Commission is committed to providing a secure
environment for the elections. Joint Provincial Election Commissioner
(Elections) Sindh, Ali Asghar Siyal, was also present during the meeting."
