Karachi: Director General Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) Abdul Rasheed Solangi held an important meeting with the Chairman of the Association of Builders and Developers of Pakistan (ABAD) and his team at ABAD House. The discussion focused on various challenges and concerns faced by the construction industry, with an emphasis on streamlining processes and fostering economic growth.
During the meeting, DG SBCA reiterated the Sindh Government’s commitment to facilitating the business community to promote economic activities and generate employment opportunities. He assured ABAD representatives that building approval permissions would be issued promptly, provided all codal formalities are completed. DG Solangi highlighted that accelerating the approval process is a priority for the government, ensuring efficiency and transparency in all matters.
He further shared that SBCA has been conducting regular meetings of the designated authorities formed and notified by the Government of Sindh. These meetings provide a platform for reviewing and approving building permissions in a transparent manner. DG Solangi emphasized the need for collaboration and urged ABAD to identify pending projects that require immediate attention.
In a proactive move, he advised the Chairman ABAD to coordinate with Directors of Town Planning to resolve issues related to incomplete documents and formalities within two days. He assured that all completed cases would be presented in the upcoming meeting for consideration and approval.
The Chairman of ABAD appreciated the efforts of the SBCA and the Sindh Government for prioritizing the concerns of the construction industry. He expressed confidence in the measures taken to expedite approvals and enhance transparency. He assured DG SBCA of ABAD’s full cooperation in addressing pending matters and completing all formalities to ensure that the construction sector continues to contribute significantly to the province’s economic growth.
