JUNAID BULAND BEGINS VISITS TO VOCATIONAL TRAINING INSTITUTIONS TO ASSESS STANDARDS

Karachi; Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Sindh and Chairperson of the Sindh Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (STEVTA), Junaid Buland, has initiated visits to various vocational training institutions across the province. The objective of these visits is to assess the quality of education and the overall performance of these institutions. During his visits, Chairperson (STEVTA) Junaid Buland highlighted the importance of equipping youth of Sindh with the necessary skills to succeed in a rapidly evolving job market. He emphasized the need for students to acquire specialized expertise in areas like Information Technology, which are in high demand. He also stressed the importance of enhancing training standards and fostering stronger collaboration between educational institutions and industries to ensure that students gain practical, employable skills.
Chairperson (STEVTA) Junaid Buland took the opportunity to meet with both teachers and students at several institutions, gathering insights into the challenges they face and access the learning process of students. He noted that Sindh's youth must be trained according to the needs of the market, ensuring they are ready for the job market upon completion of their courses and degrees. "In line with the vision of Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto, we are working towards bridging the gap between industry requirements and the skills provided by our institutions. It is significant that we align our technical education and vocational training programs with the current demands of the job market to help our youth secure better employment opportunities," Junaid Buland stated.
The Chairperson also addressed the need for private institutions affiliated with STEVTA to raise their standards. He warned that any private institutions failing to meet the required criteria would have their registrations revoked."Our focus is not only on improving the quality of training but also on equipping our youth with the skills necessary to succeed in the world of technology," Junaid Buland added. "(STEVTA) is working closely with local technology companies to introduce more tech-focused programs. Our goal is to create an environment where both students and teachers have the resources and support, they need to thrive."
Junaid Buland concluded by reiterating that the provincial government, under Bilawal Bhutto’s leadership, is committed to ensuring that every student graduates from STEVTA-affiliated institutions with the skills needed to thrive in the workforce, thereby eliminating barriers to employment in the future. The visits are part of STEVTA's ongoing efforts to reform and improve technical and vocational education in Sindh, aligning training programs with the evolving demands of the global job market.
