Naushahro Feroze In a horrifying incident, the mutilated body of a minor boy, Khameeso Wagan, was found near the Rohri Canal regulator in Naushahro Feroze two days after he went missing. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Naushahro Feroze for postmortem and later handed over to the family.
According to police, drug addicts Munawar Mughal and Usman Mughal lured the child to an unknown location, where they gang-raped him and then brutally murdered him using an arri blade, dismembering his body before dumping it into the canal. A case has been registered by the boy’s father, Abdul Ghaffar Wagan, against two known and one unknown accused under charges of abduction, rape, and murder.
Police claimed that one of the accused, Munawar Mughal, was killed in a police encounter. During a patrol on Padidan Road, the suspects allegedly opened fire on police, prompting retaliation in which Munawar was killed while two others managed to escape.
The incident has sparked outrage and grief across the region, with mourning in the victim’s household. The boy’s father revealed that his son had returned from school, changed clothes, and went out to play when Munawar Mughal lured him to Arab Colony and committed the heinous crime. He demanded the immediate arrest of the remaining culprits.
SSP Naushahro Feroze, Mir Rohal Khoso, stated that the murder of the child was deeply disturbing. He confirmed one suspect was killed in an encounter and assured that teams led by DSP and SHO are actively working to apprehend the remaining accused. He urged parents to remain vigilant about their children's safety, highlighting the growing threat of drug addiction in society.
Local sources claim that Munawar Mughal had been arrested a day earlier and misled police by taking them to various locations. He eventually confessed to the crime and revealed the location of the body. Following this, he was allegedly killed in a police encounter. Munawar was a resident of Arab Colony and known for his addiction to crystal meth (ice), causing distress among neighbors and relatives.
