Quetta Acid Attack: Suspect Killed in Police Encounter; Injured Doctor to be Shifted to Karachi

QUETTA: The prime suspect, Humayun Shah, who threw acid on a female doctor at Quetta's Civil Hospital, has been killed in a police encounter. According to DIG Quetta, during a search operation near Nushki Bus Stop, the suspect opened fire on police when ordered to surrender and was killed in the retaliatory fire.
Meanwhile, MS Civil Hospital confirmed that PG Doctor Mahnoor Nasir suffered 50% burns on her face and body. On the directives of the Chief Minister, she is being shifted to Karachi via air ambulance for specialized treatment. The suspect was identified through CCTV footage and tracked down hours after the horrific incident.
