An exhibition based on decorated film posters at the Art Gallery of Karachi is reviving the film memories of the 60s and 80s. More than 40 paintings have been placed in the exhibition. More than that, 8 like-minded artists have brought the past of films to the canvas in their own style.
The artists of Karachi have captured the memories of Pakistani, Bollywood and Hollywood films from 1960s to 1980s on canvas.

Famous Digest cover designer Zafar Siddiqui has styled the posters of Pakistani films Anjuman, Ansubahay Pathra Nee and Tum Hi Ho Mehboob Mere in the style of a book title.
Zahid Hussain, the artist who arranged the posters of films Rangeela and Manoor Zarif and Man and Donkey from cigarette filters, died due to illness during the exhibition. But his work was immortalized.
In this exhibition, in more than 40 paintings, Waheed Murad Zeba's film Armaan, Ejaz, Firdous's Hiranjha, Nadeem Nasho's films, in addition to Indian films Madrandia, Mughal Azam, Miranam Joker, Taj Mahal, and Hollywood's epic films Doctor No, The God. Posters are also presented in the form of portraits of Father Vertitanic.
Rehmat Khan, who teaches photography at Allianz France, uses digital art to relive Waheed Murad's era.
The most unique aspect of the ongoing exhibition at Art 162 Gallery is that all the artists are like-minded and good friends. This exhibition was also decided through a discussion on a WhatsApp group called Humkhayal.
