Fire Safety Drill Held at Mir Ghulam Qadir Memorial Hospital in Baiker



BAIKER: A comprehensive fire safety training session and mock drill was conducted at Mir Ghulam Qadir Memorial Hospital (IHHN), Baiker, to strengthen emergency preparedness following the recent fire incident at PIMS Hospital Islamabad.


Hospital staff were trained in emergency response procedures, firefighting techniques, personal safety measures, and the safe evacuation of patients, attendants and other individuals during a fire emergency.


Deputy Commissioner North Dera Bugti, Riaz Khan Dawar, specially attended the mock drill and inspected the hospital’s fire safety arrangements.


He reviewed the emergency response measures and emphasized the importance of preparedness to deal with unforeseen incidents.


According to the hospital administration, the exercise was aimed at improving the staff’s ability to respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies while ensuring the safety and protection of patients, employees and the general public.

The administration said such drills would help create a culture of safety and ensure that hospital staff remain prepared to handle fire and other emergency situations.
