Seventeen more cases of dengue virus have come to light in Sindh. Fifteen belong to Karachi. Forty-one cases have been reported in the province so far this month. East District is leading with twenty-one cases.Caretaker Health Minister says that the cases may increase in September and October. Disinfection activities should be increased and accelerated.
Seventeen more dengue cases were reported in Sindh. Fifteen cases belong to Karachi and two to Hyderabad. Forty-one cases of dengue have been reported in the province so far in the month of September. Thirty-five cases have been reported in Karachi, two in Hyderabad and Mirpur Khas, and one in Sukkur. This month Karachi's East district is leading with 21 dengue cases. Six cases were reported in South District, four in Korangi District, Malir District and two in Central District. This year, 1,001 cases of dengue have been reported across the province, but no lives have been lost
On the other hand, the spread of dengue was discussed in the meeting of Mayor Karachi with the Caretaker Health Minister of Sindh. Experts said cases of germ-borne diseases increased after the floods in 2022. Fewer dengue cases have been reported this year than last year. By August last year, dengue cases had reached 16,727. There have been 960 confirmed cases of dengue so far this year
