I am happy that I am succeeding in my thinking. Initially, I faced failure and obstacles.

founder of the Ayesha Chundrigar Foundation, says that I am happy that I am succeeding in my thinking. Initially, I faced failure and obstacles.

She recently released her video statement on Twitter and said that everything is possible with courage and courage.

I had recorded this a little while ago when I was at my lowest point.

I’ve been hesitant to share.

Because it’s me being vulnerable. & I don’t want that to be mistaken as weakness. Vulnerability is bravery.

& because since then to now, despite still being in darkness, I am fighting through it & I have become so much stronger.

I had stopped rescues for awhile to revise our policies & reset our systems to ensure no one could ever try to harm our beautiful cause.

That’s when the darkness sunk in. The thought of not being able to save defenceless animals anymore was too terrifying of a reality.

It wasn’t a regular bout of feeling low, it was a rabbit hole where I just kept falling deeper & deeper into hopelessness that I couldn’t see even a flicker of light anymore.

This wasn’t because of one particular thing. This was because I felt this cause, still in its infancy, is under attack in our society & the general mindset. That something so beautiful & pure could be manipulated to make it so ugly. I couldn’t bear it.

There is so much pressure & responsibility that comes with this work & I don’t mind at all. I’m usually a very positive, solution-driven person, always trying to find the light in the dark & to keep growing as I go along. This time, I felt like I suddenly got stuck & couldn’t move.

Those around me say, this time of learning comes only when the universe is preparing you for something bigger. I wonder what could be. In fact, it scared me. Being a single woman managing all this within the chaos we live in, against all odds, believe me…it scary.

I am sharing because I’m not quite myself right now.

I know you’re only supposed to show your brave side. Or talk about bad episodes in life after they’re over so you emerge a hero. But I’ve never quite been regular. I’ve just always been honest.

I am also sharing in the hopes that maybe it helps someone else.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for always being there for ACF.
