For the first time in history, American President Joe Biden has nominated Sindhi judge Adeel Ahmed Mangi, who was born in Sindh, as a judge of the US Federal Supreme Court of Appeal. He will be appointed as a judge after the approval of the US Senate.
Adeel Ahmad Mangi was born in the family of Ali Hasan Mangi, a political family in Larkana district of northern Sindh, but he was brought up in the provincial capital Karachi and after receiving his primary education, he studied in Britain and America.
Adeel Mangi started his legal career two decades ago with the New York law firm 'Patterson Belknap' and became a partner in the firm in 2010. Adeel Mungi is a graduate of Harvard and Oxford Universities and a prominent New Jersey lawyer who will be the first Muslim Pakistani Federal Appellate Court judge in US history.
During his professional career, he successfully fought a lawsuit by a Muslim community in New Jersey that wanted to establish mosques in Barnards Township and Bayonne.
