National Party Punjab chapter condemns rigging in Balochistan
National Party Punjab's president Ayub Malik has said that oppression and injustices remained against the party whose victory was turned into a defeat by manipulating elections.
In a statement issued on Saturday Malik said the party has been deprived of seven provincial and two National Assembly's seats. ”Parachuters have been brought into the politics of the province and certain invisible forces are tempering with ballot papers to ensure the victory of smugglers and other criminal elements.”
The president of National Party Punjab chapter observed that until 3 o'clock on February 9 th feb party was leading on a number of seats but then some invisible forces started turning it into a defeat. ” According to form 45 karim Khetran from BP 4, Aslam Bizenjo from BP 19, Khair Jan BP 23, Jan Muhammad Buledi BP 25, Dr Malik BP 26, Lala Rasheed Dasti BP 27, Mir Hammal BP 28, Haji Islam BP 29, Rehman Baloch BP 30, Kamal Bangalzai BP 37 and Atta Muhammad Bangalzai BP 44 were winning but their victory was turned into a defeat. Similarly Dr Malik from NA 259 and Phulian Baloch from NA 258 were also winning but massive rigging was committed in the two constituencies to change the results."
Malik observed that powerful elements of state are ensuring the victory of smugglers and contractors and a breed of opportunists, who are offered like a herd to any group or political party, are being helped to win.
The president of National Party Punjab chapter said his party believes in non violence and democracy and despite the fact that it was not allowed to contest elections in 2018 freely it fielded its candidates in this election and now conspiracy are being hatched to steal it's mandate. He said that there are only a few political parties that still believe in the politics of federation and if they are also push against the wall then it will do no service to the country. "It is Ironic that these parties, which believe in the politics of federation, are targeted by insurgents and the state simultaneously. This policy of sidelining democratic forces in Balochistan must come to an end or it will harm the interest of the country."
