IVLP Alumnus Bilal Farooq Khan Leads Training Session on Online Abuse and Harassment

Peshawar, - Bilal Farooq Khan, an alumnus of the
International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), organized a comprehensive
training session on online abuse and harassment for the faculty of Shaheed
Benazir Bhutto Women University. The day-long session, held at the university's
Eleanor Roosevelt Corner, focused on online privacy and social media safety.
The training
session aimed to educate participants on how to protect personal information,
safeguard privacy, and report online abuse. The event was attended by U.S.
Consul General Peshawar Shante Moore, who emphasized the importance of raising
awareness to ensure women's safety online.
"Online
abuse and harassment are pressing concerns that require immediate
attention," said Consul General Moore. "We must work together to
create a safe and inclusive online environment, particularly for women. I
commend Bilal Farooq Khan for his initiative in organizing this training
session."
The training
session was interactive, with participants engaging in discussions and
activities to learn about online safety and privacy. The event was a
significant step towards creating awareness and promoting digital literacy
among the university faculty.
