On the directives of Mukesh Kumar Chawla, the Excise and Taxation Department has collected Rs. 18.909 million in terms of MVR tax including fines and checked 29,923 vehicles during the road checking campaign across the province since January 1st to date*


January 28, 2025 (Karachi) On the instructions of Provincial Minister Mukesh Kumar Chawla, the Excise and Taxation Department’s road checking campaign is underway across the province. According to the statistics issued by the spokesperson of the Excise and Taxation Department Sindh, a total of 29,923 vehicles have been checked since January 1, 2025 to date, from which Rs. 18.909 million have collected in terms of motor vehicle registration tax, including fines during the road checking campaign across the province.


 According to the data, 5970 vehicles were checked in Mirpurkhas division and Rs 5.571 million in motor vehicle tax was collected, 8620 vehicles were checked in Hyderabad division and Rs 3.947 million in MVR tax was collected, 2607 vehicles were checked in Larkana division and Rs 2.259 million in motor vehicle tax was collected. 4314 vehicles were checked in Sukkur division and Rs 2.528 million in motor vehicle tax was collected. 3052 vehicles were checked in Shaheed Benazirabad division and Rs 1.985 million in motor vehicle tax was collected, while more than Rs 1.092 million in motor vehicle tax was collected during the checking of 5360 vehicles in Karachi division.
