CPDI Empowers Media and Civil Society on Human Rights in Hyderabad


Hyderabad, Pakistan – February 25, 2025: The Centre for Peace and Development Initiatives (CPDI), with the support of the European Union in Pakistan, successfully conducted a one-day briefing session at the Indus Hotel, Hyderabad. The session focused on "Strengthening Media Persons' Capacity and Engagement for Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms."


The event brought together media professionals and Civil Society Organization (CSO) representatives to enhance their understanding and advocacy skills related to human rights. This initiative aims to foster a stronger, more informed media landscape capable of promoting justice and equity.


Participants engaged in discussions and workshops designed to improve their capacity to report on human rights issues effectively. The session emphasized the importance of accurate and responsible journalism in promoting human rights and fundamental freedoms.
