Jhudo Awami Tehreek organized a rally and public gathering in Jhudo to mark the first death anniversary of its leader, Karam Kaloi,

Mirpur Khas/ Jhudo  Awami Tehreek organized a rally and public gathering in Jhudo to mark the first death anniversary of its leader, Karam Kaloi, and to protest against corporate farming and six new canal projects. where  Women and children participated in large numbers.  Party flags were raised, and floral tributes were paid to Karam Kaloi.

A public gathering followed, addressed by Sindhiyani Tehreek’s central leader Azmat Kaloi, Awami Tehreek’s central leader Obhayo Junejo, Advocate Ayaz Kaloi, Mumtaz Khoso, Ayaz Khoso, Amar Jaleel Kaloi, Ashraf Rind, Mumtaz Junejo, Ismail Patafi, Noor Bano Khoso, Paari Kolhi, Sindhu Kaloi, and others.

Speakers stated that Karam Kaloi has dedicated his entire life to fighting for the rights of his nation and the working class. He played a heroic role, sacrificing even his whole family, in the struggle for Sindh’s national resources.

They added that until IRSA’s water certificates are revoked,  the PECA Act is abolished, and the Board of Investment Amendment Act 2023 and 26th Amendment are repealed, the struggle will continue. The federal and provincial governments are using the CCI to suppress Sindh’s resistance. The PPP, after crushing Sindh’s protests, to seeks CCI approval for canals.

The issue is not just about six canals but restoring the Indus River’s flow, reclaiming Sindh’s stolen water over 150 years, protecting millions of acres of land, securing mineral rights, and defending Sindh’s existence.  They said

They further added that the Shehbaz Sharif government, with PPP’s support, has violated the 18th Amendment via the SIFC, imposing a "One Unit" system. Corporate farming under SIFC is displacing local farmers, demolishing homes, worship sites, and historical landmarks like Kanjhar, Karonjhar, Haleji, and Gorakh.  The Board of Investment Amendment Act 2023 is a "black law" enabling SIFC’s anti-people agenda.

The PPP has conspired since day one to sabotage Sindh’s struggle with false promises.  The Sindhi nation remains vigilant against federal deceit and will continue its peaceful democratic resistance.
