Awami Tahreek President Vasand Thari Announces Continued Peaceful Struggle Against Water Theft and Corporate Farming

Advocate Vasand Thari, Central President of Awami Tahreek, held an emergency press conference in Mithi, reaffirming the party's commitment to a peaceful democratic struggle against water theft and corporate farming. He criticized the Council of Common Interests (CCI) for conditional canal approvals and accused IRSA of issuing fraudulent water availability certificates. Thari demanded legal action under Article 6 of the Constitution and called for the abolition of anti-people laws, including the Board of Investment Amendment Act 2023. He condemned the Sindh government for betraying the province and urged the redistribution of illegally allotted land to local farmers. Awami Tahreek and Sindhiyani Tahreek will continue protests, rallies, and sit-ins across Sindh to protect resources and oppose corporate farming.
