Karachi: Dr. Lalchand Ukrani, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Sindh for Minority Affairs and President of the Pakistan Peoples Party Minority Wing Sindh, visited the site of the tragic collapse of a five-storey building in the Baghdadi area of Lyari and met with the affected families.
Expressing deep sorrow and grief over the tragedy, Dr. Lalchand Ukrani said, “This is an extremely heartbreaking incident, and we stand with the victims during this painful time.” He conveyed heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
He added that the Sindh government and local administration are continuing the rescue operation with urgency.
On this occasion, Lachhman Maheshwari, Senior Vice President of the PPP Minority Wing Karachi Division, stated, “So far, the bodies of 14 members of the Kutchi Maheshwari community have been recovered, while over 8 people are still missing.”
Dr. Ukrani affirmed, “In this difficult time, not only I but the entire Sindh government stands firmly with the Kutchi Maheshwari community. We will provide complete support to the victims.”
