Terror Plot Foiled in Balochistan on Independence Day; BLA Facilitator Professor Arrested

Chief Minister of Balochistan, Sarfraz Bugti, revealed that security forces successfully thwarted a major terrorist plot aimed at causing destruction in Balochistan on Independence Day. A professor affiliated with the banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) was arrested in Quetta, who is also reported to be the head of the outlawed Majeed Brigade. The accused confessed to using the Telegram app to relay instructions to terrorists and receiving targets from Harbyar Marri.
According to the Chief Minister, the facilitator transported terrorists to their targets via motorcycle, sheltered an injured terrorist after a police encounter, and assisted in the attack on Quetta Railway Station, which claimed 32 lives. Both the accused and his wife are government employees, and the professor had completed his PhD through a scholarship.
Sarfraz Bugti stated that terrorists exploit and blackmail women for sabotage activities, and the narrative of deprivation in Balochistan is mere propaganda. He emphasized that the state had honored the accused, but betrayal would be dealt with strictly under the law. He asserted that those conspiring to break the country would not be tolerated, and Parliament must take the lead on Balochistan’s issues.
The Chief Minister urged citizens to stay away from misleading elements and stand with the state. Investigations are ongoing, and further propaganda tools are expected to be uncovered.
