Reconciliation Between Sanam Marvi and Ahmed Shah

Renowned singer Sanam Marvi and President of the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, Ahmed Shah, have amicably resolved their recent dispute. The reconciliation was facilitated by Sindh’s Minister for Culture, Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, and prominent writer Noorul Huda Shah, with both parties forgiving each other.

A few days earlier, Sanam Marvi had sent a legal notice to Ahmed Shah, demanding an apology within a week and accusing him of misconduct, threats, and disrespect during a government event in Sukkur. She also demanded Rs. 50 million in damages. Ahmed Shah had strongly denied all allegations.

In a video statement, Ahmed Shah referred to Sanam Marvi as a younger sister and daughter-like figure, acknowledging that the conflict stemmed from misunderstandings which have now been resolved. Sanam Marvi, speaking in Sindhi, announced that she was withdrawing all allegations in accordance with Sindh’s cultural traditions and expressed gratitude to the public for their support.

Ahmed Shah remarked that this reconciliation disappointed those who oppose cultural harmony. The move has been welcomed by the artistic community.
