London/Washington D.C. - British Prime Minister and US President Donald Trump held discussions focused on strengthening bilateral ties, trade, and global security.
According to the British Prime Minister, the trade volume between the US and UK has reached $250 billion. He emphasized that the US is their largest trading partner and expressed confidence that the two nations will collaborate on various commercial sectors.
President Trump confirmed that a trade agreement has been reached with the UK, stating that both countries will jointly lead the technology revolution. He also congratulated the UK for allocating 5% of its GDP to military spending.
On international issues, the British Prime Minister stated that discussions with President Trump also covered the situation in Gaza, where he called for an end to the war and the release of hostages. He also expressed concern over the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, stating that daily attacks are claiming lives, and that both countries want to see an end to the fighting.
Both leaders affirmed the strong relationship between their nations, with the British Prime Minister stating, "Our relations are stronger than ever before. We are united for peace, and we are, and always will be, together." Discussions also included increasing support for Ukraine's defense.
