Minister for Education, Sardar Ali Shah, announced that Sindh’s education system is being restructured along modern lines.
The Scouts Auditorium in Karachi hosted the Best Teachers Award ceremony, organized by STEDA.
Teachers from across Sindh were honored for their dedication and excellence.
And the most shining name was — Ms. Roma Abdullah.
A courageous teacher from Sheldon Government Boys Secondary Campus School, District South, she was declared Number One in Karachi Region
The Education Minister presented her with a cash prize and a shield.
This wasn’t just an award — it was a recognition of her hard work, commitment, and passion.
Ms. Roma Abdullah proved that with pure intentions, no destination is too far.
During the event, it was revealed that Sindh has introduced the **Teacher Licensing Policy** for the first time.
Now, other provinces including Punjab are adopting this policy.
The Minister also shared exciting news:
Sindh’s Education Department has signed an agreement with China’s **International Institute
Licensed teachers from Sindh will now travel to China for professional training.
This marks a historic moment — for the first time, expert teachers from Sindh will receive international training abroad.
This is the new Sindh — where teachers are given respect, training, and opportunities to grow.
The ceremony was attended by Secretary School Education Zahid Ali Abbasi, STEDA head Syed Rasool Bux Shah, singer Shehzad Roy, Madam Rafia Mallah, and other officials.
