Sindh Launches Dedicated Teachers’ Helpline to Resolve Professional Grievances

KARACHI – In a major move to streamline teacher support and professional guidance, the Sindh Teachers Development Authority (STEDA) has officially launched the Sindh Teachers’ Helpline. The initiative, established on the special directives of Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah, aims to provide a direct communication bridge between educators and the provincial administration.
The inaugural session, held from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, saw an enthusiastic response with 25 calls received from teachers across the province. Tanzila Um Habiba, Member of the Sindh Assembly and STEDA Board Member, personally attended to the calls, addressing queries and documenting suggestions provided by the educators.
Key Features of the Helpline:
Direct Access: Teachers can seek guidance on professional duties, teacher education, and official teaching licenses.
Inclusive Support: The service is available to both public and private school teachers.
Empowering Women: Female teachers are encouraged to use the platform to report and resolve challenges faced during their professional service.
Policy Integration: All documented issues and suggestions will be formally presented before the STEDA Board for prompt action.
Speaking at the launch, MPA Tanzila Um Habiba emphasized that this platform ensures teachers' voices are heard at the highest level. Executive Director of STEDA, Rasool Bux Shah, added that linking teachers directly with STEDA will significantly reduce the time required to resolve systemic issues and improve the overall quality of training programs.
