In Karachi, a young boy Afan lost his life after being hit by a trailer while on his way with his brother and friends to get a haircut.
On Friday night, between Friday and Saturday, Afan was struck by a trailer on Shahrah-e-Pakistan in Karachi and lost his life.
The funeral prayers of 17-year-old Afan, who died in the traffic accident, have been offered. The prayers were attended by Karachi Jamaat-e-Islami chief Munim Zafar Khan, family members, and others.
The deceased’s brother Bilal said that he, his brother, and Afan’s friends first went to Karimabad and from there were heading towards Ayesha Manzil for a haircut. “The trailer attacked my brother’s bike and crushed them.”
“He ran the vehicle over my brother and didn’t stop. My bike got stuck inside the trailer, and the driver kept speeding away. I only request that strict legal action be taken against these dumper drivers.”
Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi chief Munim Zafar said that traffic accidents in the city have increased alarmingly.
“This year alone, Karachi has witnessed more than 1,500 traffic accidents, claiming the lives of 150 people.”
