In a major counter-terrorism breakthrough, CTD Sindh alongside a federal intelligence agency conducted a joint raid in Karachi, apprehending an alleged facilitator of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), identified as Tahir. According to the CTD spokesperson, the suspect was a pivotal cog in the logistics chain, supplying drone technology and explosives to the terrorist outfit.
Interrogations revealed that the suspect procured drone motors, batteries, propellers, and micro-controller boards from local Karachi markets and online platforms. This equipment was channeled to his brother, Talal alias Zaid Baloch—a high-value target listed in the CTD Red Book currently based in Afghanistan. Authorities recovered 2 kg of explosives, a drone, and a remote control from his possession. Further investigation is underway.
