The Association of Karachi Assignment Editors (AKAE) organized a barbecue party for its members. The party was attended by assignment editors from various news channels, including a large number of women.
The event took place in Bahadurabad on the last day, and both President Khalid Zaman and General Secretary Munawar Khan, along with members of the Executive Committee, expressed that the purpose of organizing this BBQ party was to provide an opportunity for members who cannot meet each other due to being in the office and busy with journalistic duties.
They also mentioned that they are planning to organize more such programs for the members so that they can feel some relief from their tiring work and continue to have meetings with each other.
Munawar Khan, General Secretary of the Association of Karachi Assignment Editors, further stated that assignment editors are the backbone of any organization, from taking news from reporters to running it on the channel, and that they perform all the responsibilities efficiently. However, due to office engagements, they can't meet in the field like reporters and cameramen, so by doing such events, they can find time for themselves.
