Regarding the
arrest of the killers of journalist John Muhammad Maher, the journalists met
the Caretaker Interior Minister Brigadier Retired Haris Nawaz.
The delegation
included members of various organizations of journalists.
Sindh Interior Minister said that the inquiry
will be completed on merit and the media will be regularly informed about the
progress of the investigation.
A check of one
crore rupees is also being given to the heirs of the martyred journalist by the
government of Sindh.
The caretaker
interior minister said that a systematic campaign against criminals is being
launched. A target operation is being launched with the cooperation of the police
and other law enforcement agencies to eliminate robbers in the rural areas.
Practical steps are being taken to eradicate drugs.
