Karachi University has given Sharmila Farooqui an honorary degree of PhD

In the Sindh High Court hearing the petition against the awarding of PhD degree to PP leader Sharmila Farooqui, the court called for answers from the parties.
After hearing the preliminary arguments, the court asked the parties to respond by September 28. In the petition, Karachi University, Chairman HEC, Sharmila Farooqui and others have been made parties.
It has been decided that Karachi University has given Sharmila Farooqui an honorary degree of PhD on 29th August 2023 and she should be asked the reason.
