Press conference of People's Party leader Sharjeel Inam Memon
Imran
Karachi:
Leader of the Pakistan People's Party and head of People's Party Digital,
Sharjeel Inam Memon, stated that the founder of PTI, Imran Khan, has been
sentenced by the honorable court. People's Party, being a democratic party,
regrets the punishment of Imran Khan's wife. Women are respectable for us, and
I hope Imran Khan acknowledges the respect for women from other opponents as
well.
Addressing
a press conference at Bilawal House Karachi, Sharjeel Inam Memon said that we
are not pleased with any inconvenience for anyone. Imran Khan still has an
opportunity; he can approach the courts. Imran Khan has been punished by the
country's court and law, the very law he has been seeking support from.
Sharjeel
Inam Memon mentioned that one can buy the gifts of Tosha Khana for half the
price, but selling these gifts in the market is prohibited. Imran Khan
underinvoiced and lied about the sale, an illegal and unethical act that
cheated the government treasury of 1 billion 99 crores.
He
added that in this case, Imran Khan changed his lawyer many times; in
yesterday's and today's cases, the lawyer did not attend, failing to follow
through. His wife's lawyer did not appear, and he kept changing lawyers, unable
to satisfy the court.
Sharjeel
Inam Memon stated that no prime minister has been as strong as Imran Khan; he
picked opponents. I appreciate the PTI workers, but the person they elected has
caused harm to the country. He has praised Justice Bashir by name, when the
same judges bring him under the law, he talks against them, I am not pleased if
your wife is punished; you should be in jail, but it is not good for a woman to
be incarcerated.
He
emphasized that You caused problems for people's families, led them astray,
fabricated false cases; as the former head of the NAB, everyone who dared to
speak became the target of your vengeance. Today, you are in prison for your
actions.
Sharjeel
Inam Memon criticized Imran Khan for targeting institutions and individuals for
revenge, creating issues for every institution of the country. He stressed that
the People's Party considers democracy the best revenge, contrasting with Imran
Khan and Nawaz Sharif's approaches to coming to power.
He
said by stating that the caretaker government's responsibility is to maintain
peace and order. The Sindh government of the People's Party has implemented
historic plans, ensuring health facilities in Sindh such that PML-N leadership
won't need to seek them abroad.
He
predicted that the MQM currently lacks a vote bank, and the People's Party will
secure a significant victory.
