People's Party (PPP) candidate Mahesh Kumar Malani became the first minority
member to win the general seat for the second time in a row.
According to
the incomplete and unofficial results, Mahesh Kumar Malani defeated former
Sindh Chief Minister and Grand Democratic Alliance (JDA) candidate Arbab Ghulam
Rahim in Tharparkar constituency NA 2015.

Malani got more than 100,000 votes while Arbab Ghulam Rahim got 86,000 votes,
but the final results of the said constituency have not been announced yet.

Malani has become the first minority candidate to win the general seat for the
second time in a row, he was first elected as a member of the National Assembly
from Tharparkar in the 2018 elections.
