With the arrival
of Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi, any head of government has arrived in
Karachi after a long time. Before him, foreign heads of government and state
came to Karachi during the early regime of former dictator General Pervez
Musharraf.
The visit of
Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi to Karachi has been termed as a happy moment by
the political, social and literary figures and citizens of Sindh and said that
it will benefit Sindh in the coming days.
Most of the
citizens said that they did not remember the last time the ruler of a big and
friendly country visited Karachi. But later this series decreased.
According to
people associated with politics and journalism, the last time a head of state
or government visited Karachi was during the initial period of General Pervez
Musharraf, i.e. from 1999 to 2000.
