Athar Mangi is a famous
poet of Sindhi language. His real name is Ali Nawaz Mangi.
He was born on April 28, 1948 in village Vasu Kalhoro of Larkana district.
In the 60s, his parents came and settled in
Jagatabad neighborhood of Dadu city. His education is MA and B.Ed.
Atharmangi was appointed as Assistant Producer in
PTV Karachi from 1984.
Later in 1989 he was transferred to Quetta Center.
He did various production
courses from PTV Academy Islamabad.
Also specialized in electronic graphics. PTV Quetta presents programs in various languages including music dramas, stage shows, children's programs in addition to children's programs in Balochi, Pashto and Brahvi, dramas and documentaries. He has retired as Senior Producer from Pakistan Television Quetta.
He is a good poet, storyteller, columnist and critic. He likes to write ghazal in poetry
