34 FAIRIES ENROLLED IN CAMBRIDGE SYSTEM, AGA KHAN BOARD.
Sukkur (24 November) - A remarkable success story has emerged in upper Sindh where collaboration between elected representatives , Sindh government and civil society brought new hope for orphan children. Pakistan Sweet Home Sukkur, achieved a significant milestone with 40 'Angels' (students) from Sukkur, Larkana, and Shaheed Benazirabad divisions have begun their education at renowned cadet colleges across the country, including Cadet College Suhawa Islamabad, Petaro, Larkano, Sanghar, and Ghotki. Additionally, 34 'Fairies' (students) from Sweet Home are receiving education at Sukkur IBA Public School under the "Papa Jani Zamurd Khan Scholarship" program, following the Cambridge system and Agha Khan Board curriculum. Moreover, students from Sweet Home Sukkur are also enrolled in prestigious educational institutions such as Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad, National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Iqra University, and Ayub Medical College Abbottabad. Furthermore, the Vice-Chancellor of Aror University has also announced free education for the 'Angels' and 'Fairies' of Sweet Home. This was disclosed by Director of Sweet Home Sukkur, Shabir Memon, while talking to Director Information Sukkur, Fida Hussain Baladi, during his visit to Sweet Home Sukkur. He said that the institution is taking care of 150 'Angels' and 'Fairies' from the districts of Sukkur, Khairpur Mirs, Ghotki,Kashmore-Kandhkot, Larkana, and Naushahro Feroze. He added that the institution was initiated in 2011 from a rented house and now it own building with a state of art facility in the center of city.
' The institution is making rapid progress towards achieving its mission thanks to the tireless efforts of Pakistan Peoples Party's senior leader and MNA Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah,' he said and added that Speaker Sindh Assembly Syed Owais Qadir Shah has given Rs 4 crore , while Provincial Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah has given Rs 2 crore special grant for Sweet Home. Furthermore, due to Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah's efforts, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah allocated 3 air-conditioned 32-seater coasters, a 25 KV solar system, and 25 acres of land in Aror for the institution's construction, considering its performance.
He further informed that the children of Sukkur Sweet Home have been named 'Angels' and 'Fairies' and all the children are studying under the Agha Khan Board and Cambridge system at IBA Public School Sukkur. Meanwhile, state-of-the-art facilities have been provided at Sweet Home Sukkur, including a library, computer lab, and their NADRA smart identity cards have also been made. He said that not only academic but also non-academic activities are provided to the children so that they can become useful citizens for the country. He said that 48 CCTV cameras have been installed at Sweet Home Sukkur and strict arrangements have been made for the security of the children.
He stated that for the medical treatment of the children, special cooperation is being received from the Department of Health, MS Civil Hospital Sukkur, and Blood Bank Hospital, and blood screening tests of all the children are also being conducted from time to time. Director Shabir Memon said that their effort is to take forward Zamurd Khan's mission in Sindh and make the children deprived of parental affection useful citizens of this country.
On this occasion, Director Information Sukkur Fida Hussain Baladi appreciated the care and facilities provided to the children by Sweet Home Sukkur, and also announced to donate books from his personal library to the Sweet Home Sukkur library.
